The Power of UGC Creators: How Real People Can Boost Your Brand

The dream for any brand is to attract new clients through organic traffic—a world where real people talk about your product and naturally boost engagement, without the need for paid ads. That’s when UGC creators come in handy.

What they are:

UGC creators are different from widely known influencers, but they are very helpful in humanizing your brand and showing customers that your product really works. Influencers often get paid to say what the brand wants, and not all of them are natural storytellers; they usually have someone writing their lines behind the scenes.

UGC creators, on the other hand, are real people with a good number of followers (not bots!) and people who genuinely enjoy their content. They can be active on any social media platform, but Instagram and TikTok are the most common.

There are many ways to find them. One popular method is having a ‘Giveaway’ promotion on Instagram or on your preferred social media platform (Instagram is just the most popular right now). Your brand offers products for free in exchange for quality content from a creator. During this process, your brand is already gaining great marketing exposure. Usually, brands ask creators to tag two or three friends, share the post on their stories, and follow partner accounts. This boosts your organic traffic while giving you time to post content, showcase your products in stories, and create ‘pools’ (asking your followers what color or product they prefer). Even those who initially followed your brand just for a free product can later make a purchase and become loyal customers!

If your business is still small, I recommend choosing creators from your area. It’s easier to promote locally and be recognized in the market; you can even grow bigger depending on your approach and the creators’ engagement. Look for creators with public profiles and observe how they engage with their audience. Don’t just pick someone based on follower count; pay attention to the quality of their content, how they make videos, write captions, and whether they post responsibly. Avoid creators who mock or disrespect others, for example.

I lived in Australia for seven years, and for a while, I dedicated myself to participating in different social media promotions—and guess what? I won! How amazing it was to receive free high-quality products and share them with my friends. It took me less than 10 minutes to promote, and I was patient in tagging my friends to show the brands I was worth working with. I had my main job, which wasn’t related to this, because I had to study and work in a different field to stay in the country. But if I had decided to be a content creator full-time, I’m 100% sure I would have had a stable income and lots of fun. It’s a win-win for the companies.

Below are examples of my work as a UGC Content Creator.
